Updated Site.
I pretty much did an entire overhaul with the site. There are some oldies but goodies left, but also many new. Take a look around!

The Burden
Here is a Top Sheet Illustration I created for one of the MTNOPS boards. Its called "The Burden." It addresses the ongoing devastation to the environment and fishing industry caused by the Exxon Valdez oil spill that occurred over 20 years ago. Apologies for the fragmentation. My website only allows a certain scale and this illustration is very detailed and large. I want to make sure people can see it. Enjoy!

Here are the boards from the SIA display in Las Vegas.
Strategic Chaos

Fellow Illustrator; Josh Holland invited/challenged me to a sketch-a-day competition he's participating in with a selection of other artist/illustrators. I'd been thinking about starting a daily sketch blog for some time now and went ahead and accepted the offer. So starting today, I will be attempting daily posts from my sketchbook at strategic-chaos.blogspot.com
Happy Holidays.
The Grinches have run amok this year, reeking havoc on the economy and suckering the Who's in Whosville out of nearly a trillion dollars. I, however, am going to go about my business and have a good one anyway.

My attempts at the great Dr. Seuss's immortal Grinch;

Title Page Illustration
The new illustration for the entry page to my website is part of an on-going series of contemplations, concepts and illustrations I've come to call "Black Holes, Space Monkeys and Future Sapiens." In my spare time, I've been playing with this muse for almost two years now. Someday; if I don't trade, sell, or lose anymore illustrations devoted to it, (yes, all three have happened) I will present it as a body of work. For now however, selected pieces including this one, can be spotted in my Work section.
This illustration in particular, expresses the virtue of looking at the world with the "right eyes" and in return; finding beauty in unexpected places.
A popular quote by Francis Bacon comes to mind.
"There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion."
Enjoy.

The Illustration I created for the Soft & Furry show can now be viewed under my Color Illustrations category. There is also a large format version on Flickr.

Fort Collins UnderGround
As you all know; First Friday was last night. The show at The Underground was enjoyable. I want to thank all the people of Fort Collins who came out to support the local art scene. Also, thanks to my good friends; Ryan Vaslet and Kristian Kluver for coming up and lending thier support. It was great. Furthermore, I have recently secured a studio space at The Gallery Underground, so expect to see much more of my work displayed there from now on. See you next First Friday.
